Carolina Artworks by Kim Keelor

Original art created in fiber, textiles, or paint, with a focus on the ancient process of wool felting. I work and teach in North and South Carolina. I am a resident artist at the Cowee School Arts and Heritage Center in Franklin, North Carolina, in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains.

Mindless Bombardment

A "flying" abstract sculpture created from post consumer materials, fencing wire, weaving. It is a piece accompanying Kim Keelor's large scale climate installation, Cat. 6? Possibilities and Consequences. It represents the actions by humankind that are compromising the health of nature and humans. For example: massive plastic creation (from petroleum) and over-use that is literally pouring nano-plastics from the sky that we breathe in daily.
