Carolina Artworks by Kim Keelor

Original art created in fiber, textiles, or paint, with a focus on the ancient process of wool felting. I work and teach in North and South Carolina. I am a resident artist at the Cowee School Arts and Heritage Center in Franklin, North Carolina, in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains.

Back Porch Twilight Series

Wool, repurposed sari silk, hand stained or painted wood discs, wet felted, needle felted.

This on-going series is based on photographs I take from my back porch at twilight in the mountains of western North Carolina. The sunsets, especially in the fall and winter, are often mesmerizing due to the vivid, almost unreal colors.

The pieces range in size from 8 inches to 18 inches in diameter.

Please us the contact page to ask about availability and prices.
