Carolina Artworks by Kim Keelor

Original art created in fiber, textiles, or paint, with a focus on the ancient process of wool felting. I work and teach in North and South Carolina. I am a resident artist at the Cowee School Arts and Heritage Center in Franklin, North Carolina, in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains.

Victory Garden Renewal

Available at The Bascom, Highlands, North Carolina (828-596-4949), or by contacting the artist via the contact page on this website.

This is an abstract reflection of the resurgence of gardening and homesteading. Small kitchen gardens are sprouting at more homes, providing not just nutrition, but a means of being able to contribute something essential and natural in this time of instability and rising prices. They are created in a spirit like World War II victory gardens.
